Neil has been mountain biking for over 20 years, formally racing Endurance 24hr XC events, but moved over to Enduro 6 years ago, and has been steadily making his way up the rankings in Masters. The 2016 season went well last year with several top 20 finishes and ending with a 2nd place podium at the Llandegla Night Enduro. So far the 2017 season has started well with a early 3rd place podium at the Welsh Enduro at     Coed-y-brenin, and I’m looking forward to more up and coming races including the Ard-Rock Enduro where I’m hoping to break into the top 10 after just being outside last year with a frustrating 11th place, plus a few more Welsh endure races finishing off with EWS in Finale in October. In between racing I'm just looking forward to a summer of riding, hopefully on dusty dry trails and long spins on the road bike.

Carl has been riding bikes off road for over 35 years. Coming from a background racing motorcycle Enduro’s and Hare & Hound Scrambles, he started mountain biking to improve his fitness in these sports but soon got the bug for pedalling rather than twisting the throttle. Having managed a 5th place for the BES series 2016 and 2nd overall in Welsh Gravity series 2017 (including my first win which was at Cwmcarn) the targets that I set myself last year have been more than met! Regular podiums are now achievable not impossible and my results are showing the benefit of a regular training program. This will only help towards completion of a few EWS rounds planned for 2017.

Living in Pontypool down in the South Wales valley’s he states that he is very lucky to be able to practice on a selection of some of the best natural single track trails in the country.
When not riding you’ll find him in his garage prepping bikes and gear ready to ride! Other interests are Road biking, movies, nice restaurants and good red wine.
