2018 Whyte Vallelujah Enduro

This event is the first Whyte sponsored enduro race of the season. The race is aimed at all enduro riders from: youth, novice through to experienced and seasoned riders – including team riders - and is part of “TweedLove’s Triple Crown enduro series”. The race saw the biggest field yet for “Vallelujah”, with over 500 competing on race day!

The location was perfect; The Park Hotel, in Peebles town centre. The hotel provided a large garden area which was used to house the Shimano Service Centre, Tweedlove registration and Whyte Bikes. All food and drinks were available onsite from the hotels outside kitchen. Weather was good, with the first hint of spring finally in the air. It’s clear from chatting, that almost all riders have struggled to get ride-time this winter and were elated to be finally getting their season underway.

Strong interest in the Whyte S150 and G170 series bikes, with Carl Jennings running his S150 to a 7th overall in the men’s vet category. Callum Thornley – Tweedlove Team – Peebles Cycling Club – supported by Alpine Bikes and riding a Whyte T130 S – was 1st overall in the E3 Youth Men! Whyte’s UK friendly features – waterproofing, threaded BB and geometry - are perfect for the typical enduro trail, as durability and reliability kept the Whyte bikes running with sure-footed control over the two days.

This race was also a great reconnaissance mission for our next Tweedlove sponsored race; The “Whyte British Enduro Championships” in June. Check out the full race results here: http://timing.tweedvalleymtb.com/TweedLove2018/Vallelujah/
